Of course you want a unique awning design. While Easter egg purple isn’t the best choice for every awning design, it’s the icing on the cake for this little pastry shop.
This awning design features a valance, but since it isn’t visible from the sides, the front skirt clearly states what the shop is all about. And the larger slope announces the name with distinctive logo font. The result? Simplicity that’s as sweet as pie and at least as tempting.
Houlihan’s
While these buildings each exhibit some architectural interest, it’s clearly the awning design that draws you to the restaurant. The arched canopy over the entrance ensures it’s easy to find in any setting. In one version, we see a simple polycarbonate arch with metal frame – a minimalist, progressive-looking awning design. The other entrance features a traditional canopy style with fabric.
In each location, window awning design starts with simple open-ended metal framing, but then look what happens. The top section of each awning is wavy, reflecting the arch of the entrance awning design and contrasting nicely with the hard exterior surfaces, softening them. And peeking out from underneath the waves is an all-over-print “underskirt.”
The juxtaposition is visually compelling. The solid color in the chain’s official burgundy says they’re solid and reliable, the colorful print says there’s fun inside, too.
FleuraMetz
Here’s a business that’s entirely unlike Houlihan’s, yet their awning design is created using the same colors in a dramatically different way. It’s proof that a simple awning can make a bold, can’t-miss statement.
Chock full o’Nuts
This famous NYC company uses two looks to distinguish their locations, but you’ll notice every awning design incorporates their signature checkered decoration. It harkens back to the days when floors were black-and-white tile and Chock full o’Nuts was new. And see that big coffee cup? Can’t you just smell the fragrant hot coffee?
A full-service commercial awning company can design and fabricate virtually any 3D structure to complement your awning design. These structures are really just awning design in the round. So close your eyes for a minute and picture a canoe atop your sporting goods store’s awning. Or a taco above your taqueria’s take-out window.
